A guy in mass.
Well Hello my Family! how is it going?? Still doing good over here in Mass. just being a missionary ya know not that big of a deal! haha This week was good wow I can't even remember what happened last week though so much stuff! We went to the temple for the first time last monday for P-Day and it was amazing wow!! I love the Boston Temple it is so pretty! And after that I played basketball and stuff all day it was pretty sick.! This week was really good we had alot of really good experiences with some people actually wanting to hear the gospel so we have a bunch of return appointments on Friday which should be sweet!
I really love this church.. because as I go around teaching and talking about the gospel it's funny because alot of people out here say "Im religious" and "Im all set" or even "I go to church every sunday" but the differences about out church is that not only are we suppose to go to church every sunday and come closer unto christ we are suppose to live it!! Religion is not just a one day a week thing for us it is a life thing for us which makes us very different to alot of people. I was reading about the conversion of the Anti-Nephi-Lehis the other day and I loved when it talks about them being truely converted to the lord. If we are truely converted we wont fall away and we wont make excusses about why we don't do certain things! I am being very bold when I say this and that is if were not living within the standards of the church we need to re-think the way we live. True happiness is not having money, is not having nice things, is not any of the vain things of the world. I love in the Testaments when the main guys son asks his dad why he is not happy for him and this is what the father says " I am happy for you, I am happy that you are happy! But I am sad because your happiness will not last!" Yesterday we tracted in a very rich neighborhood and I was just very sad for the people there because there happiness will not last! Humility is so key in our happiness If we are humble and open to the spirit! Then that is when we achieve true happiness. And how as members of the church recieve the spirit?? We do the primary answers hahaha Pray (frequently), Read the scriputres, and Go to church! Doing these three things over the last 5 months have made me the happiest person! I don't seem to care about the things of the world as much and how much I miss stuff when I do these three things! The gospel is so simple and if we live it correctly we recieve amazing blessings from our loving Heavenly Father.
But anyways haha that is just my teaching session hahaha I am not getting transfered which is nice and neither is Elder Dos Santos so we will be together for another 6 weeks which is good because we are both getting to know the member really well and our investigators also. The Package was awesome haha oh and I finally figured out the sound on my camera haha it would have been easier if I had my instructions haha but yay I can hear all your voices!! I will be sending home a m card pretty soon I think on monday I will go into boston and take a bunch of pictures of it for yall!! But I don't know what else to say I honestly can't think of much else besides gospel stuff hahaha funny huh. Oh I want a picture of that sword. Elder Strong wants to see it and so do I.! He is about as big as nerd as I am haha we have alot of fun in the APT. But until monday!!
