Crazy news boys and girls!!!!
Alright so.... This week was freakin crazy!!!! Frist Last week after I emailed we got a text sayin that we are going to be combinding missions with the Heartford Connecticut Mission in July and It will still be called the Massachusetts Boston Mission (MBM) but with a whole bunch more area and Missionaries. So that is pretty nuts Second last P-Day Nick called us and he went to church down in Flordia and had an amazing experience. The members down there really showed him that even though the church is in a different building its still the same church. And they talked to him about the temple and a bunch of stuff to the point he said "I WANT TO BE BAPTISED".. So he then had the courage to ask Pat so we went over on Thursday and started helping him make these pantie-hose bags with Ice Melt in them to throw on the roof to prevent Ice Damn and leeking. So while were doing that Pat comes home and right there in front of me he says quote " Hey so Pat do you know what Feb. 19th is?? Pat: Yeah that is our aniversary! Nick: Yep and that is the day I will also be getting baptised into the mormon church. Pat: uh hmmm Nick: See Elder Burton she is fine with it, There was no need to worry after all. (Pat then went inside) end quote. Okay not going to lie I was pretty freakin scared haha but we talked to her later... not about baptism and she went to dinner with us where Nick proceded to talk more about the Church, and how she should just come and listen to what people have to say and, Pat was okay with it hahaha crazy!! So Nick and Kacey will be getting baptised this weekend on Saturday!! :) wow it feels so great to see hard work paying off! So that is that next thing... We finally had Interviews with President Evans this Friday and He came to our house and asked me to come be interviewed first. We went up had a prayer and then after her proceded to tell me how he wants me to go to Conneticut this next Transfer, because the Conneticut mission has portugues areas, and the older people in these areas are going home this next transfer (feb 24). So the young ones have only been out like 1 transfer so me and another portugues missionary will be going down this next transfer into there mission to help with there portugues program. Which means I will be there until the missions combine in july haha so I will have a new mission president until then and I will have to contact with MY mission until July hahha crazy. So for the next 4 months I will be officially in the Conneticut Mission. Not gonna lie Im pretty nervous and humbled because I don't speak all that well yet and to go help another missionary learn and speak with the people is going to be extremely hard but I know the lord with provided a way for me to do this challenge. Im pretty sad because I have come to love so much the members and the area and it really is starting to pick up so that is really exciting and Elder Dos Santos will do good in the area. President also told me that Elder Dos Santos will be tranining this transfer so that is awesome. I love him so much!!! Honestly 6 months with one dude is awesome when you get along so well but... Gotta move on right. So that is the exciting news this week! The Lord knows that he does! I've seen things happen in this area that are not just coincindence! I love serving seriously its the best thing I could/can ever do :):) I love you all and I'll let you know on any other news I get :)
