Alright so I got all your emails and thank you haha great to hear from you all. This past Tuesday I got letters from Tricia and Jeff, Mom I got yours on Thursday? No sure and I got a bunch this week haha so I found them all and thank you. I loved the Pkg you sent haha it has helped Elder Mcclellan and I bond a little better. ( he likes the fruit snacks and the jerkey alot) haha I loved all the videos haha even when your not doing anything I just love seeing all your lovely faces and here your voices... I pretend like im there and how I would probably tell Amanda that Glee was out when I was home haha I haven't been gone that long. :) And Scott was actually wearing the shoes I sent him haha sweet. So this week was really good. Tuesday wasn't the best but the rest of the week was absolutely amazing. So Tuesday we stayed home almost all day ( certain reasons that dont matter) Wednesday we had a mission conference ( my first one) and haha it was so funny because it looked like a transfer meeting for boston because we only have 74 missionaries in this mission. So that was funny. We had Elder Zwick from The 70 come and speak to us and hang out with us. He is seriously my Idol hahaha he has served in Brazil and Chilie as a mission president. So he only spoke to me in portuguese and I love him haha. The things he talked about were so awesome and very directed at me. Elder Zwick and I talked quite a bit during lunch and off time. He has had some awesome experiences with President Gordon B Hinckly and all the Apostles. The stories he told us blew my mind. So mission conference was awesome. Thursday we had DM (district meeting) and I gave a tranining about the importance of the B.O.M, Prayer, and Church attendance in the conversion process. I thought alot of Cycling and Drafting believe it or not. Long story short when you're biking its hard to bike with one foot. If you use both feet you go alot faster and further. kind of like only Praying or just reading the Book of Mormon. If you use both together you go alot futher and fast as to if you only used one. Right? And now Drafting.. you can be peddling really well though life with Praying and Reading the Book of Mormon but.. how much easier is it when you have a group of people going the same way and "Drafting" the entire time?? From personal exp. biking by yourself is not as efficient or as fun, in reality it kinda sucks. So Drafting is alot like church attendence. When were going to chruch 1. were keeping a COMMANDMENT of god which means we recieve blessings ( cool huh) 2. We have a whole bunch of people there who are going the same way ( Enternal Life) and it makes is so much easier because when we are baptised we commit to mourn with those that mourn and stand with those in need of comfort. I Have seen people live this principle, I have lived this principle and it works. God wouldn't tell us to do these things just for fun haha he has a purpose for everything. I know its true!
So after my training we get one hour a week to visit mormon.org and look at profiles so we did that. After we had a leadership meeting with our leadership of our wards. (Providence Stake) with Elder Zwick. It was amazing haha he pretty much rebuked all of them and told them to help us do missionary work in there homes and if they would he would back in utah as well and he'd return and report :). It was sweet, he said he'd say hi to the Boston mission for me because he is going there in April. But other then that we got a couple new investigators. Eunice is tough becasue she only speaks ASL so there is no support for her in our ward but I have a couple books I read to help with my Signing. Junior Rosa should be getting baptised within the next couple weeks and the area is awesome. Transfers are coming up soon which is crazy but.. that is life. sorry I don't have alot of time to finish. I love serving!! Im sad BYU lost but haha what can you do. Bro. Swan (member) played ball with me at 6:00 am on friday and it was so fun haha One on One baby.!! He did pretty good against my cat like speeed and reflexes haha. But that is all I got
Love you all,
Elder Burton
