Can you freaking believe it.... it's the year I come home...!! Its just crazy I can't even believe it but anyways. How is everyone doing? I'm doing just about as good as I can be here in good Ol' Bridgeport :) This week was a pretty productive week.. Last Tuesday and Elder Dantas and I were out tracting/st contacting and we ran into this lady named Carolina who is from Costa Rica. (the first from there I've met) and we said we have answers to lifes greatest questions and guess what... she let us in hahaha it was crazy. We went in and taught her a first lesson about Joseph Smith and the Restoration. She has been in the U.S about 5 months and she speaks English better then my Portuguese. We taught her in Spanish/English. It was a great lesson and at the end she was telling us how she is truly looking for a church and I was super stoked :) We went over again on Saturday and taught her about Baptism because we taught and felt it was the right thing to do. She accept to be baptized when she received the answer which was a great feeling for myself and Elder Dantas who hasn't had a a lot of experience teaching and extending dates so I was happy. :) We do have to pass her to the spanish Elders but It was a good experience to say the least. We also helped out member who lives above us move due to some issues... I had to pack the truck and...well I'm getting better and moving people and playing "Tetris" with the moving trucks so that is a good new skill :). New Years was well... Boring haha I did stay up til 12 though and play basketball (elder smith got a sweet hoop for christmas) in the apt. But it was a good day and night. Sunday we went and hung out with our Branch President and his family. He pulled out his Luchador masks and we dressed up with them. It was super fun.
But best part is yesterday we were playing some B-ball and it was intense haha I loved it.! We have some super good ballers in our Zone but at the end I was driving the lane to win it and well I got SMASHED and rolled my ankle real bad haha I can barley walk today which stinks so... I don't know how much work we can do this week but we will see... I've been icing and streching a lot so I hope all will be okay.. Yes its the same ankle I did my senior year before baseball.. It was huge but.. It's life haha well I love you all and I'll be seeing you
love,
Elder Jonny Burton
