October 11, 2011

Wow another week has come and gone. It's always so crazy to me I wait until P-day then it comes and goes then before I know it it's p-day all over again. I had so many emails today :) thank you for writing me it was great! Hadley looks beautiful. It took me back 14 months ago when I saw Brooklyn for the first time haha wow what an interesting feeling it was for sure. I sure do love how much progress everyone is making. I can see it over here even if you guys can't. Keep up the good work :)

So this week was definitely a different haha we had the new missionary get pretty sick this week. His name is Elder Smith! In his area they had a bunch of appts but he couldn't go to them because he was sick so Elder Bishop and I took turns looking after him and going to teach Spanish appts. We didn't get to do a whole bunch of work in our area due to that fact but we actually had better numbers this week then we have since I've been here. We had 2 of our investigators (Brazilian) come to church. The first time we have had progressing investigators in over 6 months!!! So Elder Bishop was pretty excited haha love this kid. We also had a great activity where we invited our Spanish members to the ward and pretended like we were flying to Hawaii.. the plane crashes and we walk them through the plan of salvation. We did it for the members and it went great. We hope this weekend they will invite their friends to come and enjoy this activity put on but the missionaries. I hope it will get us some more people to teach.

Yesterday I got super sick. I got a huge migraine to the point where I realized I might throw up for the first time since my swine flu. I then had this huge impression to ask my companion for a blessing. I got a blessing and almost instantly my headache went away and I slept. I was taught a lesson about being prideful because I, to this point, have felt I can do sicknesses on my own. I was wrong I need the lord and he helped me in my seemingly time of need. It was a big testimony builder. And today I feel great :)

Also yesterday I played Frisbee football and volleyball on the beach :) fun stuff on p-days haha I'll miss the intense games I have had on my mission.

I love you all and thank you for the emails and letters :)
