July 5, 2011

Hello my wonderful family! So these past couple of days have been so great. I got a new companion and his name is Elder Slack. He is great! He served in Brockton, MA where they have a Portuguese branch so he learned quite a bit of Portuguese. He has been out 7 months or so and he is fired up about this area. We have some awesome goals that I think we'll be able to pull of. He has a lot of the same work ethic as I have so we've already found a bunch of Cape Verdean people to teach. We got one of our new investigators to come to church Sunday. Her name is Viana. We met her by looking for one of our wish washy investigators and taught her the first lesson on Saturday. She is Catholic but she skipped her church to come to ours. She really enjoyed church and we will be going over sometime this week. It was great! I've taught more in portuguese this last couple of days then I did with Elder McClellan. I am really stoked for this next couple months with Elder Slack. Some info about him is that he is from San Antonio Texas, he is 19, about 6' tall. Really likes computer games, Went to a privet school his senior year, never kissed a girl, but is an awesome dude. I think we'll tear up this area now. Being a DL is kind of fun haha but just has more responsibility. But it's still the same work. I live with a kid named Elder Still from Canada. He is a good guy as well I really like him. This new apt is almost as good as my Framingham apt.
The 4th of July was okay haha nothing to special. We played b-ball yesterday and some board games. We went to a member of a ward in Warwick and his non member family haha it was kind of weird because there were some girls there swimming and.... it's been awhile since i've seen that so haha weird. But all and all It was a fun night. I didn't take any pictures because I didn't have my camera and it wasn't anything to take pictures of so... no big. We have interviews this week on Thursday so that will be fun and yep yep the work keeps moving forward. I love you
