Hello everyone!
Wow that whole week and a half stuff is really difficult! This last little bit has been different for me again haha. It is very difficult to stay in an area for 7 1/2 months. Because of the fact that I just love my ward and my memebers here :( I was having a difficult time last night when I was saying my nightly prayers.. I just sat and cried while I prayed for comfort, It sometimes feels like I've leaving home again when I leave the people I love and respect so much. Being a member outside of utah is not easy. In fact I would say it is very difficult, you either make it or you don't plain and simple.. Those who go to church have a very strong testimony of the gospel. Its a very cool feeling to know if these members don't do it no one else will. It will be hard to leave my loving companion and ward members. I have truely been so blessed to serve in the Central Falls Ward for this long!
The good news is Elder Wright my MTC companion will be coming to replace me so I know the ward will continue to progress and do well. Whatever issues I had with him in the MTC have long left my mind. I realize that he is one of my best friends in this mission and I'm lucky to have another great "Texan" friend. Haha that makes three now ;)
In our area right now we have quite a bit of potiental going on which is so great for me to see. We have 4 baptismal dates and 1 next week I sure hope!!! My hair dresser is still being taught haha we met with her yesterday and told her that in order for us to continue to meet with her she is going to have to DO somethings like come to church, read, and pray. She said that she could keep every commandment except one right now because she is kind of addicted and she just can't let it go :( But Elders Slack and Wright will see what they can do with that situation.
Yesterday we have a very busy day as it was my last full day in this area. We taught 2 investigator lessons and met with 3 members before leaving. We went over to the Stout's who are amazing, The Morais family who are just wonderful people, and the Wild's who are some of my best friends! I had the opportunity to bare my testimony last night to the Wild's with a whole bunch of missionaries and members. I felt the spirit very strong and I'm so grateful for the power and authority given to missionaries to do Gods work. It is a feeling of such incredible power. It has to be true haha
I'm going to truely miss my good friend Elder Slack. We got into a big argument this week about something so dumb and It was because we both knew change was coming and it is very hard. When you go through hard times together with someone it strengthens your relationship. That is why the Prophet has told young couple to not be afraid of marriage and the challenges that proceed. When we go through these things our spirits join together as we go forward with faith and unify ourselves as Heavenly Father and Christ are. It is a time of "spiritual steroids" we go through with someone else during hard times. Take advantage because they don't last forever :) I love you all and I'm constantly praying for you until next week :)
